VelPest recommends 5 simple rules for success in rodent control.
With harvesting and cooling, mice and rats retreat into protected spaces such as; homes, farms, barns, silos, barns, etc.

-It is known that there is no type of universal bait.
But we can control mice and rats by applying a well-established program.
Most of the time it is wrong because:
- I did not choose the right bait.
-Do not place enough product.
-The bait is located in inappropriate places.
- No later inspection, or delayed.
For farmers and homeowners to make the most of rodenticides, Vel Pest wants to help with 5 easy steps.
Follow these steps and your farm, your household will be clean and free of rodents.

   1. Prepare the area
Prior to baiting, clean and trim the house yard, farm, garden to reduce the number of places rats and mice can harbor, check sources of food and water that could feed them.
Removes or destroys garbage, wood, old planks, mollusks, cars, household appliances, clothes and old textiles and eliminates or protects existing sources of food - providing the ideal environment for rats, mice to hide and feed.
Check drainage systems and sewer pipes, check their doors and tightness at
The lower part and remedy any defects.

    2. Mark and Plan
Find signs and areas of rodent activity.
Monitor their activity so that you can plan a plot of moth and rat sites, make a plot of the farm, target area, and mark the sites, this will highlight the important points where the bait stations can be located.

    3. Choose the right bait
Success will be guaranteed if you have chosen the best product for your problem.
Take advantage of this by adjusting the type of bait to your favorite feed source.
VelPest offers a wide variety of types of baits for use in different situations.
• Whole Wheat - Use where rodents feed on stored grain.
• Merlot - good for mice and rats that often harvest whole grains inside, removing the treated outer surface.
• Pellets (Granules) - Used when rodents eat compound feed.
• Pasta (fresh bait) - is used when rodents are available to eat high-calorie foods.
• Water-resistant wax blocks are used in humid conditions (sewers, water leaks, flooded areas temporarily).

                                                                                                       Recommendation:
Non-target protection. Make sure that wild and domestic animals and children can not get to the bait. This is a legal requirement.
It is mandatory to use plastic or cardboard poisoning stations.
Choose the appropriate bait type and place enough stations to cover the treatment area.
Use the correct amount of bait.
Check the bait stations as often as possible, at least once every 2-3 days, preferably daily and fill in if consumed.
The chart below helps you in choosing the right baits depending on the location type.

4. Maintenance.
Complete treatment can take up to 3 weeks.
Do not give up once the resident population has been eliminated. There will always be new colonies waiting to take advantage of your home and your farm. Successful rodent control requires constant attention.
If you notice new activities, initiate a new program immediately. It is easier to remove a few rats than to treat an epidemic.
Continue the maintenance program.

5. Waste treatment:
Corpses and unused baits are disposed of in accordance with local regulations. The disposal method is specifically described in the summary of product characteristics in the national authorization and is mentioned on the product label.
Example:
It is imperative to inspect the area and make sure that there are no mice or rats dead or
dredged bait in inappropriate places, dirty or spoiled bait.
To avoid the poisoning of other animals, deceased rodents must be packed in plastic, closed or bonded plastic bags. Drop into trash cans with lid. After deratization, poisoning stations and scattered bait must be collected. Do not reuse empty containers for product residues. Before recycling, the containers must be washed.
